One of my talents is creating beautiful things. Designing a beautiful life.
Sometimes I create with Words, in Writing, Speaking or Teaching.
Other times I design beautiful spaces to live in, Rooms, Homes and Places.
Nearly a decade ago I went through a difficult and heart-wrenching divorce.
I didn’t think I would recover.
My hopes and dreams for the future were in tatters.
Step by step the Lord led me through a process that absolutely changed my life and how I viewed the gospel of Jesus Christ.
To Do or To Be? That was the question.
Somewhere along my journey my life had become an endless to-do list.
I was so busy doing all the things- I had stopped becoming!
The Spirit gently taught me that my Heavenly Parents were more interested in who I was becoming versus a list of what I was doing.
This one principle changed everything for me.
I became a ruthless editor of my own life.
I asked myself these two questions over and over:
Does it help me feel the Spirit? Does it draw me closer to my Savior?
With the answers to these questions I began to cultivate a life I loved.
A life that was thriving, not just surviving.
